Probably because the title of the thread is "The Negative Effects of Porn" rather than "The Positive Effects of Porn" or even "The Effects of Porn."
I recognise though that there are stories from both sides, of empowerment, degradation, and more. I think stories of empowerment though probably only ring true for the Western world... sex work is very different in developing countries. And I'm not talking about sex trafficking, I'm still talking about sex work.
