My stepdad is a huge fan of 30-50s music, especially big names like Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, et al, and so I told him I could download anything he wanted and burn it to a CD. This was around a week before Hurricane Sandy hit, and I had downloaded a 2 CD set of Bing Crosby that kept all of the warmth and crackle in the recordings. Occasionally they'd be live, and you'd hear clapping, or sometimes a radio announcer speaking. It was the second or third night after we had lost power (thanks Sandy), and as I was sitting alone there in the cold dark house, watching the candles flicker, this CD I had made with all these tracks were playing.
