The above may be useless as band names, but they're comedy gold


In more seriousness, as a rule of thumb, a good tactic is to make a list of cool-sounding adjectives, and another of cool-sounding nouns, and see what disaster/ delights ensue when you mash two or three of them together.

Alternatively, try looking through some of your favourite books, or considering quotes from your favourite/ cult movies, and adapting some of these:

For instance, Duran Duran took their name from the mad scientist in Barbarella.

The pop-punk band Chunk, No Captain Chunk! took their name from 80s cult kid's classic, The Goonies.

A local band had the name 88 Miles Per Hour - a reference to the correct speed for time travel in Back To The Future.

Try thinking along these lines, and see what you come up with.
