What nobody seems to be taking into account is that the major record labels are not record labels anymore. They're just small parts of multi national conglomerates.
When you own radio stations, stores, TV stations, media outlet, movie studios, websites and God knows what else why on earth would you put out something controversial that you can't promote using those? When you have that much clout & exposure you can put out what you like and force people to listen to it, not give them what they want.

I disagree with you doll.What's to say that anything new, or controversial won't become ultimately distorted by the industry once they figure out how to market it, or whom to market it to. I don't think that it's a question of laziness, I think it's a question of them not knowing who, or how to shove down our throats yet.
