What? It was the "rebellion" and changing times of the sixties that brought us apart by telling us that we had the right to be different. It was back in the days of not questioning the government, white picket fences and two and a half children, and conformity that the nation was united. When I made that comment I was speaking "generally" and really speaking for our current society, not in reference to the 60's.
In a way the current popular music scene reflects that we do not care about social issues anymore and as a people I think we do need to come together again. It seems like our morals and values have been lost.
