I've come across Dwight Yoakam before and John Jorgenson is one of my favourite guitarists ever, never mind in country music alone. I've not come across the other two before. Traditional, pre-Sweetheart Of the Rodeo country and western's an area I've always been particularly hazy on - definitely something I'll be fixing when I can.

I've been listening to country and western in all its various guises for quite a while now, but I've been drifting towards the more modern (well...early 2000s onwards) stuff, these are a few from some albums that are on pretty heavy rotation with me lately;
