I just saw Behemoth a couple weeks ago and they were fantastic. It's funny you describe them as uninteresting, because that was my reaction to them at first listen several years ago as well. There's even a post by me somewhere on MB referring to them as being "paint by numbers". But a funny thing happened: they grew on me. I think the first step was my realization that their drummer is f
ucking phenomenal. Then I noticed that the whole band was incredibly tight. Then I started to notice they actually had quite a bit of variety in their albums. Before long I was a fan. I've never gotten there with Nile despite liking the
idea of them and giving them many, many chances.
