Yes, I'd love to see more action in this thread, but sadly a post from Big3 is a rarity these days. That Brandi Carlile track is excellent; good lyrics good voice and an interesting, rough-edged surprise at the end.

I also liked your recommendation, Pet_Sounds, though it took a couple of listens for its subtle virtues to come across; I hope the rest of the album is as interesting....

^ Glad you liked them; they just turned up prosaically as a recommendation from YouTube, and the album cover caught my eye. In a similar way, I came across this piece of music the other day. Like your Midlake track, Machin is Prog Folk as well, though in a different style:-
