The next dance is performed by Leyla Jouvana. She's actually much older than you'd probably guess (good Ukrainian genes, perhaps?) Her dancing simultaneously embodies creativity, playfulness, energy, elegance, precision, and unbridled joy. (Honestly I'm not sure how she doesn't get dizzy during some of those traveling turns!!) She's also a great teacher, and her husband plays the darbouka
though not during this particular vid obviously.
