I'm not surprised, but at the same time, working in the electronics department of a small Wal-Mart, I did notice the "Adele effect" first hand. I see maybe 5 cd's sold a month on my shifts, but when that album was released, I was seeing upwards of 10 a day. Keep in mind I live in town with a population under 3000 so that's actually a fair bit of cd's.
