I was born in '81, and while I could never imagine living in an age before the Web, I sometimes feel my time came a bit late.
What I wouldn't give to have experienced The Berlin School in its prime (1967-1973). And so many LPs - The Electric Lucifer, White Noise, Metal Machine, Trout Mask, Silver Apples (both of NYC and of the Moon), Stockhausen's Contact, Dream House 78' 17", Riley's Persian Surgery Dervishes, Dr John's Gris Gris, In a Silent Way, Moondog s/t, Times Encomium, The Last Poets, No Pussyfooting... and the explosion of kosmische musik.
And events like Marcel Duchamp and John Cage speaking at my local university... so many incredible musical moments!
But most of all, I'd love to have seen The Prisoner in its original broadcast run. It must have been spectacular.
