Also, Qui-Gon was just so much more Obi-Wan-esque than Ewan McGregor was.

I always felt the Obi-Wan and Anakin relationship was more of a best friendship which made it even more saddening when it destroyed Anakin. Though, Attack of the Clones made it pretty clear that Anakin didn't respect him even though he noted that Obi-Wan was the closest thing to a father he's ever had.
