Sufjan Stevens - Seven Swans
This feels like a high quality release and has a coherent vibe that's probably perfect for the right moment. For my taste I prefer my folksy singer-songwriter stuff to have a bit more harmonic movement - although I realise that's not what Sufjan is going for here. This was the first album of his I'd heard apart form Carrie and Lowell - I'm intrigued enough to want to explore further, however for folk I'll always go back to Silvio Rodriguez (or Shugo Tokumaru whom I discovered through Mord's journal).
