Ideals? Yes. Actual libertarians? No. In theory libertarians are about personal freedom, but the practitioners are generally about national pride through economic success, care little about social issues of personal freedom that libertarians should invariably care about in the face of economics, and inevitably show their socially conservative colors when discussing those issues (such as your issues with women). They also tend to be prone to the same anti-socialist conspiracy theories as fascists, even if they're not necessarily as paranoid, while showing much of the same vehemence against those conspiracies (OMG tell me you've never given a **** about cultural Marxism). I'm sure I could go on if I really felt like it.
