I also had to get an external sound card, and smaller, M-Audio 10 inch speakers. All of my equipment is insured from the different places I bought it. Well, not all of it, but like 80% of it. Back when I had money, I dropped half my checking account on music equipment. I needed a car at the time, but I figured: "At least if I get the music equipment instead of the car, if I lose my job because I can't get to work, I suppose I can just play some awesome music until the electric gets shut off." lol. It's not much, but it's a decent start. It's quite likely that I'll have to downgrade over time, rather than upgrade like I'd like to, due to a lack of finances. So, I've decided that I'm just going to get a hollow body bass next. So I can play bass anywhere, even after all my equipment stops working. As like a long-term investment type of a thing.
