The critical piece here is going to come down to whether or not personal money or actual campaign money was used for those transactions. If Cohen changes his story again then he'll just end up in even more trouble than he is already, especially after being put under oath.
Trump's chances at being re-elected in 2020 are looking slim to nothing as of right now in any case, and that's for the best.
