Not too far off in a way, as I remember it being inspired by having watched a lot of Twin Peaks (early 90's horror/or otherwise spooky stuff that feels 80's because of Badalamenti's soundtrack) and listened to Type O Negative's
October Rust when I wrote it. That also explains the album cover with the autumn leaves (look in the booklet of that Type O album).
