Liddell was in shape, just not his prime. I agree that he had no business fighting Ortiz, especially after being on the shelf for so long and performing so poorly before that.

They both just wanted a pay day. And De La Hoya saying that Dana White was wrong for telling fighters to retire after bad performances is bullsh!t. That is one [rare] time where White was actually looking out for his fighters [which, in reality, he was probably just looking out for his bottom line, as a losing fighter usually doesn't draw money].

Liddell and Ortiz had better not string this feud out like Arlovski and Sylvia did.
