I understand why they exist, management systems are severely lacking in common sense at times and commonizing things to a degree ensures a tighter supply chain, but it all just feels so ****ing stupid and petty.

my exam says they are needed to create international standards for companies to improve quality.
half of my manufacturing course is all about quality audit/control and they just ask a few basic questions like what it is and what they do.
just got the thought to go back and reply to this post because im studying for that exam now
