Record Without a Cover." I bought at least two copies directly from him in Chicago around '86.
One clean copy and another copy that I scratched up by walking down Clark St. while mostly rubbing it
up against the sides of buildings (there were occasional "rubbings" on sidewalks as well).
Then, I would play it in-store for customers. When it wasn't "in use," it would be mounted on the wall
as a clock with numbers stuck on it. I remember a guy named
Clay Grossman who insisted that he find
something to wrap the album in. He was so paranoid that he was going to ruin it.
