Default New Hi-Point Tactical 9mm Pistol

NEW HI-POINT TACTICAL 9MM PISTOL

Hi-Point recently unveiled a new pistol at this years SHOT [ Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade] Show in Las Vegas.

Chambered in 9mm Luger, this pistol has a 10-round double-to-single-stack magazine, which is new to Hi-Point, whose pistols and carbines up to this point
have all featured single-stack magazine [their current 9mm pistol offering, the C9, only has an 8-round single-stack magazine].

This new firearm features forward and rear cocking serrations on the slide, a threaded barrel [to attach a muzzle brake or suppressor], an ambidextrous
safety, a secondary backstrap safety and a lower accessory rail [to attach a flashlight, laser sight, bayonet or whatever floats your boat]. It also features
holes to mount an accessory rail or optics to the top of the slide. It is the first firearm to feature Hi-Point's new logo.

Hi-Point hopes to have this gun on the shelves by the end of 2019, with a MSRP of ~ $200 USD. Extended magazines with capacities of 15 - 20 rounds
are also in the works, and, according to Hi-Point representative Dave Kiwacka, this new design may work itself into other models.

MY TAKE ON IT: For $200 USD, this is a hell of a deal. Hi-Points are made in America and carry a lifetime warranty. But why half-ass it? If you are going to
spend the time, money and effort to make new production molds, why just add 2 rounds to the capacity? A double-to-single-stack magazine? Are you
joking? Why not just go full-on double-stack, like your fan base has been asking for for 20 years?
