Song #8: Garbage - Only Happy When It Rains (1995)

^ Best song title so far, and the only song of the nine that features a girl singer. Nice noisy guitars, which nonetheless pause long enough for the singer to deliver the title line, this seems like a very well-designed song with something for both pop and rock fans. I liked this song - especially the line that taunts the weather; "Pour your misery down on me." I hope I remember those words next time I'm enduring wet London.
I know how much you love it when I make superficial comparisons, but sometimes I really don't have anything profound to say. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Shirley Manson and Saffron are practically wearing the same dress! I know what you're going to say: Safron's dress is red while Shirley's dress is more like magenta. Luscious Jackson also sings about rain.
