pffft IDK what do you know about French music back in the 60s? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anne Cherchait L'Amour, Jardin Botanique, Cellulose Sunshine are some of my ATF (all time favorite) French songs. They have aged like fine wine.
Elli et Jacno - Anne Cherchait L'Amour
Opera Multi Steel - Jardin Botanique
Stereolab - Cellulose Sunshine
I wish I knew more French bands & artists, but there is so much music and so little time. More recent bands, contemporaries of those you mentioned:
The Plasticines
Les Sirènes Débrouillardes
Jolie Cherie
Fabienne Delsol
Aline
Aline - "Je bois et puis je danse"
Fabienne Delsol - Your Queen
