By 2100, Earth’s population is expected to reach 10.9 billion people...“We don’t talk about overpopulation because of real fears from the past—of racism, eugenics, colonialism, forced sterilization, forced family planning, plus the fears from some of contraception, abortion, and sex. We don’t really talk about overconsumption because of ignorance about the economics of overpopulation and the true ecological limits of Earth.”

Yeah. Watching it happen is interesting. I used to imagine massive flooding and vegetation die off. That’s happening but as these things happen like the polar vortex breaking and the heat wave in Europe and the wildfires and endless summer it’s like oh so this is how it’s going to end.

I also think the trapped heat is going to grow exponentially much faster than expected and the impact will be more grotesque than expected.

Bay County Sheriff's Office sees uptick in domestic violence cases since Hurricane Michael
There are still thousands left homeless or forced into very cramped frustrating conditions from this one hurricane from last year. Angry parents are beating the **** out of their miserable kids and men are beating up their wives and girlfriends and in general people are treating each other like ****.

Plus, where there is rebuilding it’s mostly high rent condos and fancy **** where poor and working class people’s homes were demolished. People don’t even **** with insurance because they have ways to stall forever and not payout. Also, in court cases when people try to sue insurance companies poor people on juries typically adopt a blame the victim mentality instead of a sympathetic mindset.
