Yes, some purists don't like that blend of traditional folk with electronica; for me though, the problem is not outrage at mixing genres, but the fact that there is just so much of it. In the end it can get boring.

^ I liked this track, and the fun video. "The folklore of non-existing nations" reminded me of course of Dead Can Dance, who I'm sure you have heard of.
