The dollar reigning supreme is a social construct. As our debt becomes more and more unpayable and our social status in the world collapses the dollar can hyperinflate and collapse. It seems impossible now because there’s so much wealth globally tied to the dollar but the world having to take the global hit could and probably will be unavoidable. Especially with China clawing its way back on top.
