The Angel Levine (1970, Ján Kadár)
Zero Mostel is an elderly Jewish tailor with a dying and a crisis of faith. In comes Harry Belafonte as a former street hustler-turned-angel who must perform a miracle in the life of a mortal in order to prove - well, I suppose that's he's worthy of wings. Based on a short story by Bernard Malamud this film is a great late 60s New York City version by Hungarian born director, Kadár; a hip parable of sorts that leaves you with a few things to consider.
