I am looking and what do i see
a social distance society
feeling sad and lonely
far and wide misery.

I am looking out of my window and feeling sad
has the whole world gone mad
I look down at my loaded gun next to my bed
i push the trigger and now i am dead
the coroner stamps my death as covid.

I see people jumping for joy
all in a queue to get the latest toys
around the corner and down the street
tired eyes and aching feet

I phone 111 i've got a sore bum
and my head feels knumb
they reply you must take a test, self isolate have a rest
and everyone you live with they are at risk
because you have the symptoms of covid.

This is true I am so afraid
the fear has got me everyday
i am slipping further away
from reality from February.

I see people walking up the lane
they do not return again
hanging from the trees, there lifeless bodies.

I hear stories from both sides
Is it genocide
are they killing the weak and the frail
cut the human race in half, we cannot fail

Soon we will be a cashless society
microchips in our hands and heads
this is the future buy and sell
embrace or starve your choice Heaven or Hell.
