Interesting write up. Seldom listen to it anymore. But my latest foray into British progressive rock bands of the era (via my recent purchase the Harvest Festival Box Set) made me appreciate the background out of which The Experience came. Plus Jimmy's own history of touring with R&B bands prior to the formation of The Experience - and that influence - puts the sound on Are You Experienced? in a far better perspective certainly than it had when I first listened to it.
