Maurice! I thought the film and book were both good, but I'm with you on
Howards End. It is my favourite of all his novels, being more dense and slow-moving than the others.
Shout out too for
Passage To India, afaik the first Ivory-Merchant adaptation of an EMForster book. For me, perhaps the best of the movies, because of the exotic locations.
