I have a question about the "Great Replacement" conspiracy theory. Are the conspiratards actually trying to give some reasons why those "shadowy elites" are replacing white people? In the US it seems to be at least partly about the dumbass rhetoric that the democrats try to increase their voter base. Is this the only reason they give, even in other countries? Or is it, as so often, that the conspiratards don't really care about asking why and just assume the "elites" are evil.
I read up a bit on Wikipedia etc. but didn't really find an answer and to be honest I'm a bit too disgusted to really do a deep dive into this topic.
