Tool is a band that you either get into or you don't. It has nothing to do with feeling smart or buying into any of their pseudo-occultist crap, but sometimes the music just speaks to you. Considering that you all frequent a music forum, I would hope that you can kind of understand what I'm talking about. If it doesn't fine, but there's no reason to bash Tool fans as pretentious wannabe elitists, and if it does, that's great too, but you have to respect those that don't like them and not try to shove Tool down their throat. For me, Tool really does it, I think their albums have a great flow (apart from maybe the latest one, which I never really got into) and that their songs have a great deal of musical depth. If I listen to Aenima or Lateralus, it's an immersive experience and it takes me to another place. I don't sit their thinking "oh maynard, you're so much smarter than Fred Durst, only I get you."
