well, I'm assuming by childhood you mean as in <10, and for me, it'd have to be (yes urban, you would have killed my parents) Achtung baby, U2. my dad used to put it on every sunday before rounding my sister and me up to wash us....
My parents had decent taste, old and new: Pink Floyd, the Beatles, to name a few, for some reason Stereo MC's stood out the most... plus a lot of classical stuff, which I only came to enjoy a couple of years back...
