I AM in fact comfortable because with the way the system is set up doctor's have to do a good job or they'll lose everything in lawsuits. Further, those who make it through medical school are doing so because being a doctor is what they want to do. If teachers were paid more I think you WOULD get higher quality people because then your smarter students will see teaching as an option (As opposed to Engineering, Medical fields, etc...). And while I have no heart attack fund, my parents have insurance, something the poor members of our country often do not.
