I think any system needs room for improvement, and its officials should be allowed to be constructively criticized for means of improvement, but this seems to be more of a "roast" or something.

The only thing I see Sleepy Jack do that seems to get people wanting to make threads like this is very slight digs and subtle personal attacks meshed in with posts of constructive criticism and reasonable arguments.

First of all, if that's what people are upset about- that has nothing to do with moderating. Secondly, I've only seen Sleepy Jack do this sort of thing when someone is thoroughly aggravating as well as being an inconvenience to others and MusicBanter.

Lastly, I think this entire thread is hypocritical. Someone gets annoyed with someone else and takes a negative attitude toward them in their criticism of that persons actions, and in response that person (or people viewing it) then gets annoyed themselves and makes a thread stating "happy posting... lets take this prick down". The only way that this thread is not completely mimicking the only thing I can think of that Sleepy Jack has done "wrong", is that it's much more blunt and inappropriate.

My advice is this: If you don't like someones attitude, that's fine, but don't make some big deal out of personality traits. The clashes with Sleepy Jack and Yukon Cornelius was just that, two stubborn people participating in not letting something pointless go. And also, just because someone doesn't fill a post with compliments doesn't mean there isn't good constructive advice there. Some of the meanest things said have grains of truth, and come on, was he really even that mean?
