In those shoes
I wrote this song last night when I was bored. This is the first time I have ever showed anyone my work. Please comment and tell me how I am doing.
He spends today like anyother.
He sits down to write his brother.
His brother is in iraq but someone just had to tell
About their mother.
The boy now in tears write his brother.
If I could be like that.
I would give anything.
Too live just one day.
In those shoes.
If I could be like that.
Just for one day.
(OH) What would I do?
The boys brother is now a hero.
He served and saved so many people.
But today the boy kneels to remember in front of a steeple.
Later that night the boy stares at the ceiling.
He thinks to himself with uncontroable feelings.
If I could be like that.
I would give everything.
To walk in my brothers shoes.
So I can feel how really it is to lose.
How it really is to bruise.
So I could taste all of his glory.
I could tell my own story.
If i could be like that.
I would give anything.
To be just like you.
