I accept it to a degree.

If a kid is getting the **** kicked out of them, no, that's wrong.

As a kid, I got the belt so that taught me to behave because I didn't want it. I never ended up with bruises or anything like that but my dad's leather belt stung like a b!tch. I'd be rubbing my ass for hours.

It made me one hell of a better person. Nowadays, it seems like kids piss around because they can't really get punished. If a parent were to grab a belt like the old days, all a kid now has to do is call the cops and the parent gets the **** end of the stick. What else can you do? Send the kid to their room where their video games and computer are? Ridiculous.
