Seriously, Mile Davis' Bitches Brew is far and away the best fusion album ever recorded and pretty close to being the only album from the sub-genre really worth owning. Check it out. You'll be happy you did.

I still go through various websites "top 100 jazz albums" lists. Like most things of that nature there's usually some stuff that's grossly overrated, but it is a great way to feel out the genre expecially considering how huge it is.
