I didn't say they were funk, I said they were funk metal. I guess that term is an oxymoron, as funk is supposed to be sloppy and metal is supposed to be clean, you can only be one of those things.

Well metal doesn't HAVE to be clean. But in the 80s and early 90s it did if you wanted anyone to take you seriously. Though I doubt a lot of people ever took this band seriously.
