i don't think YOUR priorities are screwed so much as most older people have a hard time accepting that younger generations will have different priorities and continue to branch away from what was at one time the defacto standard.
it was one thing for me and my peers to be checking out
our parent's music, it's a whole other thing for teens today to STILL be checking out what is now their
grandparent's music and being expected to worship it in the same way.
