There seem to be a lot of off-topic posts here, but if anyone is interested in checking out UK folk bands,I would recommend these albums:
ALTAN :
Island Angel - delicate, well-crafted Irish traditional songs that won some kind of Indie award when it came out.
PENTANGLE :
Basket of Light - a beautiful blend of acoustic jazz/pop/folk that still sounds fresh forty-odd years down the line
SHOOGLENIFTY :
Solar Shears - apparently known as "acid croft" music, this is a robust mix of modern electric with Scottish jigs
VAN MORRISON AND THE CHIEFTAINS :
Irish Heartbeat - Van`s gutsy, gutteral delivery lifts old classics like Carrickfergus to a new level
