This album And the eponymous follow up are excellent, but Up The Bracket will always be my favourite for the impact it had on me. Everyone has that album that changed their life, this it for me. I was 14 when it came out and it knocked me for six. Good review and i agree with almost all of it.
Well put Stu, I was 18 and it did the same for me! It really gave the music scene the kick up the arse it needed! Everything else around seemed dated and dull!

Excellent review there, TheCellarTapes; Up the Bracket has been my #1 'favourite album ever' since I heard it in 2005- I was a bit late to the Libertines, and only came across them because of seeing someone's avatar of them on a forum, and I thought 'oh, who are THOSE guys'? Led me to listen to loads of other stuff as well, the Clash, the Kinks, and Django Reinhardt too (I think Carl had mentioned him as a favourite guitarist in some article).
