Honestly, I've no idea. There is a change coming up, the site is moving to a new server. That doesn't mean there will be a front page, but I'm just hoping that they might take a look at that as they're working on other aspects of the site.

I wouldn't expect something like a front page to pop up over night anyways. Admin might like to chew on the idea for a while first and since none of us have ever been in direct contact with him (I believe), then who knows? If we don't get one, then I'll push the idea once again in a year's time or so to show once again that this is something we care about.

Past experience also tells me nothing will happen, but I have problems quietly accepting that

I choose to remain a hopeful nag.

I don't know .. I roughly have the know-how and once thought about doing it simply as a way to demonstrate to the admins what they are missing, but decided against it. When it comes to doing it as something which is supposed to be a permanent feature and not just an example, I'm not sure about the legality of it. You're then creating a portal website for someone else's website which will duplicate some of it's content and that sounds a little shady to me.

Also, it wouldn't have the potential to ever get as good. At least not without the security details to the database!
