if 'new' british bands bore you, you havent been looking hard enough. I said earlier in this thread that alot of my top favourite bands are american, but i like hundreds of bands, and most of the others are british.

the problem is that british bands never do as well. take a successful but underground american band.... Circle Takes the Square. If they were british, they'd be playing the back rooms of pubs and their album wouldn't even be released in the US, none of you would have ever of heard of them.

Seriously you need to look around a bit more if you think Britain never had experimental music. We were the home of the Psychedelic in the 1960s.You should go out there and purchase Piper At The Gates Of Dawn by Pink Floyd.
Also, it may not be interesting to me or you but the whole rave scene was born in the UK. Which was higly experimental in every which way of the word.

Yeah, let's be black and white. All the English bands are great. Every scene rocks, not one exception. How can someone give a decent opinion on something so general? ><'

Pink Floyd are average. Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd are excellent.

Pink floyd - music for bank managers, that was my mates answer to why he hates them, and it tickled me.
