there is a real authenticity and love of country (no wonder, hehe) in country music (by country I mean bluegrass, country folk, country rock, alternative country, and also southern rock which is a blend of country and hard-rock) and it's part of America's culture. I really went to country music thanks to Dixie Dregs which always have a full country song on their albums. Some of my favourite artists in country music include Johnny cash, Hank Williams, The Carter Family, Woody Guthrie, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Pure Prairie League, Emmylou Harris, Linda Ronstadt, Son Volt, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett, Commander Cody and his lost planet airmen and many more.

Love country pre-80s mostly. I don't like the popular stuff now, its pretty awful, but I love me some outlaw, traditional and folky/rootsy country a lot. I can't really get enough of it, that old timey stuff from the 30s and 40s (and before) is so full of soul.

Talking I am being drawn towards country.

Never would have thought it possible must be something that happens to one at a certain age
I used to be into the Stones and Pink Floyd. I still am but I now find time to enjoy music by country artists.
Not all but some have a certain something .

I like country music for many reasons. I like it due to Eric Church and Carrie Underwood.
Well Carrie Underwood is my biggest attraction to the country music.

Why I like Country:

Because its relaxing and is never aggressive or brutal and I like string instruments which are the main instruments used in Country.

although I get bored of Country music very quickly sometimes.
