Default If you wanna try something different,try Sa dingding
I am not sure if I am allowed to have a new thread to introduce Sa dingding and her music,cuz I saw there is a recommondation thread already,but anyway,please feel free to move it as you wish.

I donot know how to define which genre she belongs ,her music is very different or somebody said weird too,her album< Alive> is a good one=)

Since I am not allowed to post links either,you can find her on google.=）

I took your advice, and looked up Sa dingding. This was the first clip that appeared on Youtube :-



You`re right: unusual music - and a nice video too ! I guess the genre is modern Chinese pop. If it`s not, Il Duce will put us right !

Youtube and facebook are blockedn here in China,I canot really see which video of her that you posted but I guess it is Alive? I like the tune of the song and the tune of the MV too~~~hehe

Wow ! I didn`t know you couldn`t get Youtube, qianqian. I hope that doesn`t make Music Banter too frustrating for you. As you must have seen, people post a lot of Youtube clips here !
The song I found seems to be called HaHa LiLi, and the video starts with a blue butterfly, a pretty girl ( Sa Dingding, I presume) and a big moon.
Is she very popular in China ?

It really is a bit frustrating for me,cuz all the youtube vedios are "blank"```=(
Not being able to use facebook is annoying too=(

That song is "Tian di ji--hahalili"(The sky and the earth).=)

She was only a bit popular like 4 years ago with being called "Zhou Peng",if you google a song named< Dong ba la> by Zhou Peng,that's her.You can see that it is very different music style compared with<Tian di jian> .

Last year,Sa ding ding was back with her mysterious music and a different name and someone said ,different personalities too=)

yeah, modern Chinese pop

it isn't that different from the stuff Dou Yu wrote for Faye Wong when they were still married

I'd like to put up some Tat Lau, but I can't find the ones I one if I don't use hanyu pinyin software, and I don't have it with me
