Vote for a FAIR album before May 31

Every two weeks the Folk And International Roots Album Club votes for an album that they will listen to and discuss in the coming weeks.
Anyone can vote in this poll, but if you vote, please follow through and be ready to discuss whichever album wins the poll.

Here we are again, back after the break, with some fresh albums to consider :-

Shooglenifty: 2
V.M.Bhatt and Hun-Huur-Tu: 1 each

So, if no-one objects, we`ll make Shooglenifty the winner. We have until June 7 to track it down and give it a play, then a discussion thread for their "Solar Shears" album will be opening up.

No objections. Just doing a bit of a Google and found out they played here just up the road in March. I'm so out of the loop with live music around here.

What a pity you missed them, stp ! You might`ve had a night to remember, and a first-hand concert report would`ve been very interesting.
Thinking about it though, "just up the road", which means 10 minutes away to an Englishman, might not mean the same thing in Australia :-

More FAIR related Googling turned up video of a meeting between Huun Hur Tu and Frank Zappa. I think it was pretty informal from the footage I saw but if you're interested try searching Frank Zappa Salad Party 93.

LOL, yeah just up the road in the outback takes on a whole new meaning but here in suburban Victoria I was about 5 km away from the Shooglenifty gig.
