I'm describing SD as a county but it does indeed vary a lot by which region you're in. My LA description would be a lot worse tbh. They're convincingly fake nice up there.

SD has good stuff but mucho mucho mucho bad as well. I'm sure Exo has heard the sales pitch in the past so I didn't touch on the good.

It's expensive. Otherwise we have the best weather in the continental 48, the most chill people and diverse culture, and where else in the US can you ski in the morning and then surf (without a wet-suit) in the afternoon?

Not to mention the authentic Mexican food and drinks.
Did someone say Mexican?

When I lived in Monterey, the military base was literally a few blocks away. It was annoying since they absolutely had to do strenuous workouts at 4am every morning.

True. It's like when someone tries to define the greater Boston area by using summation. It never really works for an outsider.

Who knew the military woke up early to exercise?

I'll keep this in mind. I'm coming out for my friends Navy Seals graduation. There are many plans and things involved with about 15 of my friends. But I won't pass up an opportunity for lunch if I can swing it. I'll let you know.

What I hate is that you'd think that in a military town, the normalization of being in the military as a career would make people slob on their knobs less, but the fetishism of the military is 100x worse here than it has been anywhere else that I've lived.

That said, if you're coming to SD, you can expect yuppies, tweakers, and the ****ing military wherever you go.

Kennedy retires. Trump can re-shape the Supreme Court for decades to come, which he'll do to appease his rabid stupid mongrel base. Fortunately, me, Linda, Mike, and Sherri are past this ****ing us up too much. I truly feel sorry for you younger folks.

Don't come back at me. This is what the mongrel's wanted. This is what they got. And, as usual, it's going to hurt the worst off much worse than the financially privileged.

Stupid people 101.
