Not really no. I mean have you met me? I'm a belligerent abrasive boor who uses profanity as punctuation. I spent much of my early years as a conservative, spent much of my 20s as a moderate who tried staying away from political discussions after becoming disgusted with my former conservative politics, and only in the last few years have become a pretentious liberal blowhard. I'm not elph. I don't have a history of being called pretentious. I just recognize that right wing ideology in many ways is anti-learning as things like science and philosophy are a threat to traditionalist views.

Yeah it's garbage and the people on "our side" are garbage and many of them are cowards who are too scared to call out xenophobia for what it is, but at some point this battle needs to be fought.
