The majority of black males that are murdered were murdered by other black males. there is no stat that contradicts that. i find it sad that blacks can become so angry about a white cop shooting a black kid who may or may not have deserved it but when a black kid kills another black kid over something completely stupid, those same blacks rioting in the streets have NOTHING to say about that. If they showed the same outrage for black-on-black crime that they do towards the far less frequent white-on-black crime, we wouldn't have so much black-on-black crime.

That said, I live in Detroit in a PREDOMINANTLY black neighborhood and have lived here for going on 17 years now. I have never been robbed, never been invaded, never been threatened or cat-called in my neighborhood. I get along with my neighbors. I frequently forget to lock my doors when I leave and once even forgot to close the door and was gone all day and still nothing happened. There are no gangs here, no shootings. There's some crime--there's crime everywhere--but nothing serious. I do not own a gun, never have, and do not plan on owning one. Yes, there are parts of Detroit to stay out of--at least after dark--but go to Vermont and you'll find the same types of areas all populated by whites. So let's not blow this black crime thing out of proportion.

What makes ya'll think that black people don't think black on black crime is an issue? This has ALWAYS been an issue that has been brought up. Whether it is influenced by rap music, classicism, etc

However,

Some of yall seem to think that excuses a bull**** verdict such as the one we heard tonight. It still does not change that black males are unfairly targeted by the police.

The only injury that Martin had was the gunshot would. These are the injuries that Zimmerman sustained. We don't know what immediately led up to this but it's pretty obvious from the evidence (including the forensic evidence that Martin was on top when he was shot) that Zimmerman was getting his ass handed to him at one point. Was it his own fault - sure. Doesn't erase the fact though.

Zimmerman claimed he was getting his head bashed against the cement repeatedly when he shot Martin. His injury is completely inconsistent with that and is entirely superficial. As I said, he NEVER went to the hospital. So much for getting his ass handed to him.

When he shot Martin, Martin would have had to be standing over him pounding his head on the pavement. Martin then would have collapsed on top of Zimmerman and bled all over him. Where is Martin's blood on Zimmerman? In fact, an eyewitness claimed to see Zimmerman getting off Martin rather than getting out from under him. Zimmerman claimed he was the one screaming for help. Aside from the fact, it is clearly not Zimmerman's voice, it is physically impossible to scream when your head is being pounded on the pavement again and again.

He lied. Martin died. That adds up to murder.

Did you hear the part tonight from the grand jury testimony that two different black witnesses stated that Brown rushed the officer before the first shots rang out, then stopped, and then rushed again before finally being brought down by more shots?

And at least ten other witnesses have backed up the officers version of events?

Just gonna butt in here- have you ever been stalked by someone? Had a weapon pointed at you? Not saying Martin was aware of Zimmerman's being armed but he could have been, or would've been right/streetwise to assume he was. Either way- being stalked like that is a terrifying feeling. Once you call them there's not a whole lot the cops are gonna be able to do if the person/people after you actually do have violent intentions. Think about it. Who's gonna get to you first (if the cops even show up)?

Funny.... there were other witnesses that said otherwise.

I wonder why the grand jury didn't use them.

I assume that the verdict was reached on forensic evidence which, unlike eyewitness testimony, is reliable.

i didn't say we've fixed it yet but turning random examples into a media campaign does nothing but make a few people rich really, as well as deepen the divide between the different races cause everybody goes into tribal mode.

I thought this was an excellent thing his parents said:
